NVAHA organized the first ever “Northern Virginia Housing Opportunities Expo.” This event was hosted by NVAHA in cooperation with six jurisdictions including: the cities of Alexandria and Falls Church, Arlington, Fairfax, and Loudon Counties, and the Town of Herndon. NVAHA also received coordination support from two financial institutions that are part of Cardinal Financial Corporation (Cardinal Bank and George Mason Mortgage).
With generous support from event sponsors VHDA, Chase, PNC and Bank of America, this day-long expo was open to the public and provided activities, games, prizes and a host of information for first-time homebuyers, housing counseling and affordable rentals.
